🍿 He picked psych. Now he feels screwed.
Burnt out, broke, and convinced he wasted college. Now he’s throwing resumes into the void and hoping something sticks.
Inside today’s snack: Psych major spirals after ditching med school and watching his friends pull ahead.

🥒 Today’s pickle
I’m 22 and a recent college grad. I stupidly picked psychology as my major because I thought I wanted to go to med school and become a psychiatrist. In my last few semesters I realized I didn’t actually want that and I was too burnt out to do another 4 years of school and 3 more of training. I was too far in to realistically change my major so I finished it out and graduated. I feel like I made a huge mistake but didn’t know what else to do.
Since then I’ve had no idea what I want to do with my life. I’ve been applying to office and admin jobs and other entry level stuff with no luck. I feel super stressed and like a complete washout who wasted time and money. I feel nothing when I apply because I already know I’m not getting the job. All my friends have jobs and make fun of me for not having one. I know they’re joking but it hurts. I have a girlfriend and supportive family but I’m scared they’ll lose faith in me too if I’m still unemployed in 6 months to a year.
Are there even jobs I can get with just any bachelor’s degree or am I totally screwed? Please don’t tear into me, I already do that to myself every day.
